Pursuant to the Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Management (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 107/06) the liable persons are producers, acquirers and importers of electrical and electronic equipment.
The obligations of liable parties are shown in the table below:

- To agree on the method and terms of WEEE collection in the entire territory of
Slovenia
- To encourage end users, distributors and local public service providers to

WEEE RECOVERY

- To provide for recovery in appropriate facilities (requirements listed in Annex 4), Article 14

- Attainment of adequate shares of WEEE recovery, reuse and recycling, Article 15
- Observance of relevant regulations regarding treatment in other countries if WEEE is disposed of outside of Slovenia, Article 15

- Acquisition of an environmental permit from the appropriate Ministry for the collection and further treatment of WEEE, Article 16
