Based on the Decree on the management of waste electrical and electronic equipment (Official Gazette of RS, no. 107/2006), all the liable subjects must be kept in the record of manufacturers and acquirers of electrical and electronic equipment at the Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia.

Within the scheme (joint or individual) they must comply with all the requirements from the abovementioned Decree (raising public awareness, goals of collecting, processing, reuse and recycling, removal of electrical and electronic equipment and reporting to the national authorities on meeting the needs) on the entire territory of Slovenia.

The ZEOS company prepared a joint scheme of waste electrical and electronic equipment management, which has been accredited by the Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia and entered into the record of schemes under no. 1.

For the purpose of registration and covering of the cost of national bodies for the establishment and maintenance of the register and other administrative costs, the liable subject must submit to the Customs Office of RS the declaration of activities and environmental charge in accordance with the Decree on environmental tax on the generation of waste electrical and electronic equipment (Official Gazette of RS, no. 32/2006) and Decree amending the Decree on environmental tax on the generation of waste electrical and electronic equipment (Official Gazette of RS, no. 78/2008).
Environmental tax is charged twice a year – on 31st July of the current year for the period January – June of the current year, and on 31st January of the current year for the period July – December of the previous year.

To sum up, the liable subject must:

1. Enter the WEEE management scheme

• Sign a contract on the participation in the joint WEEE management scheme of ZEOS

2. Enter the record of manufacturers and acquirers of electrical and electronic equipment at the Environmental Agency of RS

• Fill in the application, pay the administrative fee, send it to the Environmental Agency of the RS

3.Submit the declaration of activities to the Customs Office of RS

• Fill in the application, send to Customs Office of RS
• Report and pay the environmental charge twice a year
